As the manager of the Port of Lorne, we want to know how you use and value the Lorne Pier to better inform our management and enhance user safety.

March 2024

We are conducting the 2024 Lorne Pier User Survey. We are keen to better understand how you are using the Lorne pier, if you have any ideas or concerns for the way it is managed and how satisfied you are with the pier.

The survey takes approximately 10-minutes to fill out and we encourage all pier users, and those with an interest in the pier to take the survey. The survey will close at midnight on Sunday the 14th April.

Please note that this survey does not include the historic pier.

Current Status

June 2024

During March and April, we engaged with pier users to better understand the ways you value this asset, and to share details on our approach to managing and maintaining the Lorne pier. Thank you to everyone who filled out online surveys and attended our drop-in sessions.

Key themes of feedback received through the engagement process included:

  • Recreational values of the pier
  • Cleanliness, littering and its impacts to the environment and public safety
  • Accessibility
  • Clarity of signage at the pier

We have captured this feedback and how we are responding in our ‘Engagement Summary Report’.

The next steps for this project will include ongoing maintenance improvements and ensuring users are kept up to date on the n new projects and initiatives involving the pier.

Thank-you again for providing your valuable insight. Please see the Engagement Summary Report below.

Have Your Say

In April 2024 we ran a community survey to better understand how you use and value the Lorne Pier. We are now analysing the survey responses and will shortly release an engagement report detailing what we heard.
