Land management transfers in Anglesea and Aireys Inlet

The Authority took on land management responsibility for Crown land in Anglesea and Aireys Inlet on 1 February 2024. Land management responsibility for Crown land in the Split Point Lighthouse precinct, including the lighthouse, in Aireys Inlet will transfer to the Authority on 1 May 2024.


The community should not notice any changes to the level of service in the maintenance of the land transitioning over to the Authority.

We are committed to being transparent and accountable in our management of land for which we have responsibility. This includes working with and listening to the community to understand their views or concerns about land for which management responsibility is transferring.

As part of our increasing land management responsibilities Anglesea and Aireys Inlet we are seeking to understand the key cultural, social, environmental, and economic values and uses, as well as capturing the community interests and local significance attached to each parcel and asset.
